Calculations happen on your device. We do not collect, store or sell the values you enter.

Your inputs are written into the page address so you can bookmark or share a result. Anyone you send that link to sees those numbers. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard request logs, which can include page addresses.

If you press “Save as my pool”, your pool size, chlorine type and stabilizer level are stored in your own browser so the calculators can reuse them. They are never sent to us. Clear your browser's site data to remove them.

We count visits with Matomo, an open-source analytics tool that runs on our own server, not Google's. It is set up without cookies, so nothing is stored on your device for it and there is no consent banner to click.

Matomo receives the page you viewed (without your calculator numbers: we strip them from the address before it is sent), your browser and device type and approximate location. We use this only to learn which calculators and guides help people, and we don't sell it or share it with advertisers.

Poolside runs no advertising scripts. If that changes, this page will say so first.

When you write to us, we receive your name, email and message and use them only to reply.

The typefaces are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads, as with any web font service.
